I'm a Vietnam War and Desert Storm combat veteran and really benefit by my visits to the Center, in spite of the plague. My buds in the PTSD group get together online now on a weekly basis for mutual support, enabled by trained and caring counselors.

It was here back in 2013 where I was first diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and it is here that I continue to meet with my fellow PTSD sufferers on a weekly basis with a fantastic therapist for our very intimate times together! I really appreciate the professionalism of all of the staff at the Melbourne Vet Center and look forward very much to gathering with my brothers in arms from Vietnam 50 years ago.

Over and above support for Vets in crisis/chaos. I have been in the VA mental health system for almost 20 years. They have been with me through the ups and downs and always non-judgmental. The Vet Center is separate from the VA, and provides me one on one therapy at no additional cost. The Vet Center does require an intake interview to ensure you are in need of their specific services. I, for one, am happy to say I can and do utilize this extra, in depth, counsel.

This place has basically saved my view on the world...myself and people around me whom I love. I am a combat vet and have been through the ringer with VA Viera Clinic. I have seen over 3 therapist there and not one of them seemed to care. Finally I requested another... they suggested the Melbourne Vet Center. I have had nothing but good experiences and I will continue to tend to these sessions.
