Mike, our dog Melville and I had a WONDERFUL experience with Christina at the estate this afternoon. Of course the tasting was amazing but Christina’s hospitality was EXEMPLARY as the outdoor tasting area filled up quickly. She single-handedly poured everyone’s successive flight (How could she remember who was ready for which pour??) amid COVID-19 restrictions. Thanks Mr Melville for naming your winery after our dog and thank you especially Christina for your hospitality and sharing your deep knowledge about viticulture and the particularities that makes Melville our favorite! Cheers!

Love the wines here! The Syrah, and 2017 pinot were incredible. Donna was great today and my friend joined the winery. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the ambiance, and delicious wines.

Friendly service, easy to make online/phone reservations, clean bathrooms. Serene & relaxing grounds. They were nice to let us have a Rosé for the Perfect Pairing Picnic.

Unfortunately I don't think I can recommend this Winery. Our group of 4 booked a reservation were seated promptly on a cute patio overlooking the vineyard with more than 6ft between us and any other tables. Unfortunately the service was absolutely unacceptable. We were often left with long periods of empty glasses. We had a server change halfway through our tasting, with no handover or introduction. The new server restricted their interactions with us to announcing the name of the next wine to be tasted and pouring our glasses. When I come to a winery, part of the experience is getting to listen and find out more about the wine, vineyards and area.

We are from Seattle and always make it a point to get to Melville during our Santa Barbara vacations. First and foremost we love the Pinot Noir. Secondly the property is beautiful and the staff is down to earth, knowledgeable and customer focused. This is a great find!
