I am giving a Five Star review because I received my family's tapes and their respective converted DVDs. It was about a year's worth of waiting and I thought I might not get them back. The reason for the Five Star review is because I understand the impossible task that this company and its owner are up against. The owner could have thrown in the towel and not returned the tapes. I am grateful that he returned the tapes and converted them. He is trying to do the right thing. For the people waiting on their tapes, I hope you get them. I was in your shoes, and felt dread and loss because of this situation. I want to provide a current review that gives hope to those waiting and words of encouragement for the company to continue doing the right thing. Thank you very much!

I was also sure that I would never see my VCR tapes again. They have had my tapes since 1/2019. However, I filed a complaint with the NC Attorney General office of Consumer Protection in November, and this Monday I received my tapes. The were not tranferred to DVD, but I have them back! I would suggest any person with a similar experience do the same thing, and hopefully you will also have good results. I just tried to give them zero stars, but it wouldn't post, so ignore that star.
My mom bought their Groupon coupon a year ago and she just received the original tapes back, TODAY. Although she didn’t get them back in DVD form, at least she got back all the memories on those tapes. Took almost a year to hear anything from them. Happy. Now just waiting on a refund!
They have my tapes too that I sent back in April. The first few times I called I would talk to different employees and they seemed helpful. Now I can't get a hold of anyone and Groupon is not doing anything either. I have since moved addresses and now worry if they ever do get sent back that they will get sent to the wrong place. When I call the number it says "no routes found." It's not even a busy signal anymore.
I sent 20 VHS videos to Memories on Media in March 2019. Trips to Disney, dance recitals, football games.....basically much of my two children's childhood. I followed the groupon directions and sent them off. I still have not, nor do I believe I'll ever get them back. I tried calling.....line is always busy and emailing them with no response. If you value your memories DON"T send them to Memories on Media!!!! I can't think about it because it's too upsetting..... Aside from the memories lost, I paid 60 for the two groupons and postage for two boxes of 10 tapes each.
I think they have gone out of business and kept my treasured videos! It has been four months. They told me 6 weeks ago they were behind but would be sending them. Today my Groupon has expired, the phone doesn’t answer and their mailbox is full. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! ***Update- My old videos where recently returned in the mail without any kind of note. 11 months later. I am thankful they returned them! I hope the rest of you got yours back.
So Disappointing!!! I sent in 10 family videos in December 2018. I patiently waited for 6 month and now trying to reach out by phone and email and can't get a response. So many pictures of my kids when they were little!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOU BUSINESS HERE. I contacted Better Business Bureau and they couldn't get in contact with them either. I'm states away and can't drive over there to talk with them. I don't even care about the money, I just want my family videos back.
My heart just sank, reading these reviews. They've had my videos, including my wedding 30 years ago and my daughter's adoption homecoming, for 5 months now. I've been told 3 times over those months, I was next in line and they were backed up, so I was patient. Today, I call, phone is "busy". But now I'm reading these reviews and think I've been groupon scammed. I don't care about the stupid 30 at this point, I just want my tapes back and feel like crying. :(
