One of the funnest experiences. Since my sisters and I are beginners, we took the belay class they offer. Very thankful we did because it was very educational. There is a large variety of different skill level climbs to choose from. We practiced on the shorter climbs a few times before attempting the 4 story wall. The other climbers around us were very friendly and encouraging to help us get to the top. It was so much fun, and we can’t wait to go back again!

Absolutely incredible day for my entire extended family at the Vertical View! It had something for everyone...from my young neices and nephews to my 67 yr old mother. The facility, equipment, friendliness of management/employees, and overall experience far exceeded my expectations. I had 30 people in town for a family reunion. Although I had never been to the Vertical View, I had heard it would be a fun place to entertain a large group. The calculated risk paid off in a big way. When we made the reservation, we were counseled to have a few of the group show up before the rest for a tour and to get belay certified. That was a great suggestion and allowed for more members of our group to climb and be involved at the same time. It was a perfect way to be physically active and have fun in a safe clean environment. We will be getting yearly passes for my family. Thanks again Vertical View!

This is a wonderful gym. Excellent for family climbing. The gym welcomes any and all kinds of climbers from inexperienced to expert level. The friendly staff and fellow climbers make you feel accomplished and encourage you all along the way. If you don't climb it is also great for Yoga, Hi-fit, and weight lifting. They have ping pong, billiards and other fun games to do for the non-climbers. Vertical View is also a terrific place to work or do school in between climbing sessions. If you want to make awesome friends and become a better climber, go to Vertical View!

This is a very nice gym. Clean and had a great layout. The guys up from were pretty cool and fun to talk to. The main wall is very tall and impressive. There weren't a ton of climbs on the main wall but the height makes up for it. They had a nice short wall there to. ***The only down side was there were only 2 auto belays with 5.8 to 5.11 climbs on the short wall and none on the main wall when i was there Still well worth going, especially if you have a belay partner. ***Sounds like they fixed the lack of autobelays on that beautiful big wall.

Vertical View is a great climbing gym for all levels of climbing. This is a great place to learn how to climb or to climb competitively. We are from Gemstone Climbing in Twin Falls but when we visit Boise, we love coming here!

Fine facility, very basic in terms of features and wall angles. They claim to be the biggest training facility in the NW, but are missing basic things like brushes in the bouldering section or a basic hang board and say they don't have the space for it, again, in the largest facility in the area. Seems like they prefer to spend money on novelty things like murals and cool seating before they take the training aspect of the training facility seriously. Good place for families, but better gyms in the area if you're serious about climbing and training.

As a mom of teen boys I rate this climbing facility 5 gold stars for the atmosphere, everyone is super encouraging and you don’t feel intimidated that you are learning. I love the confidence it gives my kids as they challenge themselves at each level. As a family we can all enjoy a challenge in the same area even if we climb at different levels. The staff is very friendly and welcoming as well. Now for the 5 gold stars for design. Not only is it engineered to be an amazing feat for the climbers but it is designed for spectators as well with stadium seating and multiple viewing areas and elevations. I love that there is no charge to just watch or belay a climber. Next I want to try their yoga and barre classes! I am so glad that local owners brought facility to our area!

I am continually impressed by how professional the staff is. The setting is consistent and throughout all of the pandemic they have asked patrons to wear masks provided hand sanitizer and have been polite and friendly during a difficult time. I will continue to be a member because of there devotions to the climbing community, friendliness of the staff and amazing setting! Keep up the good work.
