Great place. John is a great teacher. One bad thing is the occasional Kids instructor. He is a Blue belt, but he is not effective as a teacher. He will teach a move and then let the kids struggle through the drills. He will sit in a corner or move around slowly and watch and maybe only help just a few students. The rest are left to flounder in confusion while he is paying attention to only a few kids. Then the drills are over and most kids are not sure of the drill. I never say anything out of respect. I am glad when John teaches the kids. Also, this blue belt instructor is borderline inattentive. For example, there was a kid using a “can opener” neck crank on my son which is completely not allowed in Jiujitsu. This instructor was on the other side of the room “rolling” with ONE kid while my son was in danger and all the other kids were not even sure if they were drilling correctly. John is much more attentive and he sees everything. In my opinion all this instructor needs is more supervision and he will be okay. This was over three occasions. My guess is that he is a new instructor or is a volunteer instructor without experience instructing kids. But he needs to change his teaching style. I will still keep my son enrolled. Great school overall. Highly recommend!

Family like environment. The coach is an excellent teacher for all levels, and most of the students compete. Everyone is happy to help.
