The patient care and services at Central Arizona Endoscopy are everything you would hope for and more -- at least on the front end. Be careful of the back end because I received no less than five separate bills for the doctor, the anesthesiologist, lab work, and two additional bills. This does not include the cost of my primary care physician visit for the referral and cost of the prescription drink prior to the procedure, which cost an additional 80. All together, a procedure I was told by my primary care Physician's Assistant was \free\ because, \Insurance considers it preventive care\ ended up costing me OVER 1,600 OUT OF POCKET. The front office and staff, Dr Zapata, attending nurse, and anesthesiologist Troy Porter, were all first-rate. I spoke with Janet by phone a day before the procedure and she was extremely polite and answered all of my questions. She also offered additional information that was helpful. After my arrival I was admitted within 15 minutes and the attending nurse, Laurie, who got me settled in is wonderful and has a phenomenal bedside manner. She really put me at ease and made me feel like I was with family. The next morning someone from their office phoned to check up with me and make sure that I was doing well. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff. And although Central Arizona Endoscopy previously received my highest recommendation of 5 stars for exemplary care and service up front, I have since changed my rating to 2 stars after all of the trouble I've been through with the endless onslaught of multiple bills (one of which was sent to collections, despite my making monthly payment arrangements) for a procedure I was told would be FREE. These colonoscopies seem to be a money-making scam and I will never get another one again in my life. And that's a shame.

You are nothing but cattle to these people. They herd you in the front door, kick you out the back and then they refuse to work with the insurance company on proper billing codes, so you end up having to pay the bill out of pocket. A simple coding issue that they refused to correct cost me over 300

Great staff. Very comforting and reassuring. Dr Tessler was my physican. The staff followed up the next day too. That was a surprise!
