When you mark just one question incorrectly on a form, it disqualifies you from getting a housing voucher
I moved to Mesa in 2017 from Oklahoma City moved back to Oklahoma in October 2018 I just want to say Jennifer Hedges and all the Staff that worked with me have treated me with the upmost respect and welcomed me someone stole my identity whereas when I returned to Oklahoma I went to get my electric turned on and an 800 bill had been ran up in my name Jenifer faxed what I needed to get my account cleared may God Bless her and all Staff you all are such great Staff I have never had any issues with you all Also I see reviews that states this office is racist no way before coming here I read this and were nervous I’m an African American Black female and never experienced racism from the front desk works or the back sorry never felt or experienced it Thanks Mesa Houseing God Bless you all
My bad experience I didn’t like the way I was being treated they are all Prejudice & Racist from Debbie Gervert,to Mary Brandon,to Jennifer Hedges, discriminatory Towards me . Lets start with Debbie Gervert that was working there @ the time in 2015. I was living @ Lindsay Palms Apartments. Rainy, was the manager @ the time in 2014. Between the two they both was ripping me off by over charging me on rent this went on for a whole year. But once I moved to San Angelin Apts, they still both tried to sabotage my move especially Debbie Gervert, Then she was found out @ that point Jennifer Hedges, did my rent adjustment in 2016 but eventually she became my caseworker 2018 she didn’t explain things to me rather it was in emails or returning my phone calls when I came in to return paper work or to ask her a question on walk in Wednesday’s I felt like she was avoiding me. When I put in for my notice to port out to Florida I gave her 87 days to be exact it took her a month in a half to transfer my voucher I felt like she tried to sabotage my move to Florida I know she was. Because she didn’t move forward with my port in a timely manner. She didn’t pay attention to the details for my case she gave me drastically wrong rent estimates. If you’re disabled or with a disability or Black person especially a Black man thinking about transferring/port your voucher to Mesa don’t bother. Go to a different Housing in the Phoenix area. I wouldn’t recommend no one especially a Disabled person or a African American there’s NO place for a black man on section 8 not in Arizona. I walked & never look back I mean it.
Mary Brandon should have been fired from having this job. I have put paperwork in for this place a few times. Their racist towards ALL black people. They purposely delay services and kick you off the programs. I have been told threw them they loss paperwork. When i was homeless. I was waiting on housing. I put in the paperwork i needed and told on the phond.i wasn't homeless enough. I finally confronted her on ALL her purposely done wrong doings. I asked her of why she would lie about a paper that was never sent on to keep on the waiting list for section 8. She said it was sent. I responded by if it was sent we wouldn't be here. Referring to my baby at the time that i just had and my witness to her lies. This lady in particular will purposely not help any body of color and i also feel that the receptionists that are there are trained to discriminate. This isn't right or fair at all.
