A truly despicable group of people who want no accountability for the actions of their violent murderous police officers. A group of unapologetic racists who attack Chief Bautista for DARING to seek transparency with the public. I truly hope all the men and women of these organization die painfully

I agree with the Police Chief. That black cop who was kicking and hitting that man who was in custody should be fired and charged with assault and battery. I agree, stay away from Mesa. They should be thanking this Police Chief and not trying to remove him. Not acceptable; just a disgrace. Why are more people in Mesa not coming forward to call out these out of control cops. Just because they wear a uniform does not mean they are above the law. That black cop took pleasure in kicking and punching that man who was handcuffed I believe. They knocked him out. Fire him, arrest him, and charge him and all the other cops who participated in this assault on this man and seemed to really enjoy it. Nate Gafvert should be removed as well. If you call his phone number, it says to leave a message. Really, Really. Disgrace. Glad I don't live in Mesa. Alisha Wade

Thank you Chief Ramon Batista for attempting to reform a corrupt system. The negativity and gaslighting isn't fooling anyone. The union wants the public to vote out the man trying to protect them lmfao...then again it is a red state

I purchased a new house in Mesa. I moved from IL. I do not fill safe or protected by Mesa police department. It is nothing like IL police. My father was a judge in Cook County IL so I am very familiar with the law. We had a handyman come to our house to do some work at our house. We paid him for some of the work but he wasn't finished. He was working on installing a few new tile pieces in our bathroom. One of the tile he put in he chipped. So we asked him to remove the tile and put in a new one. He said instead he would give us a discount. I said no I don't want a cracked tile. He said ok I'll replace it. So he went back into the bathroom. We thought he was working. What he really was doing was putting major holes in our wall and cracking all the tiles on the floor. He took off. We called the police. They assigned a detective. The detective did nothing for months and months. Was off for awhile. Then finally they assigned a new detective to the case. The detective came over and showed us pictures and we picked the guy out. Now after a few months the detective calls us and said he finally got a hold of him and he said he didn't do it so there is nothing he can do. Really did he really think the guy would admit it. Why did we even go to the police and waste our time after almost a year to tell us there is nothing we can do. Why didn't they tell that to us in the beginning. How are we protected? Are you telling me I can go to my next door neighbor and damage his house his car his belongings and if he is the only one there nothing will happen because its his word against mine. How is a person suppose to feel protected by the police and feel safe in their community. His name was Detective Reese.

Nate Gafvert is a disgrace... Supporting incompetent, criminally negligent cops to make himself relevant.. I hope there is such thing as karma..
