If you are an outdoors person this place is a must place to visit. They offer a wide variety of permit services for Tonto National Park and other surrounding areas like Bulldog trail. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous. All permits prices are reasonable and are required in some areas. Hours of Operation Monday-Friday except for Holidays and Federal holidays...closed for lunch 12:00-12:30 pm.

This location is closed for the foreseeable future due to covid. I was able to to reach the office by phone and have some questions addressed, although no services are available at this office currently.

Unfortunately the Ranger Station is closed to the public for any and all services as a result of the Federal Covid-19 closures. The rest of Arizona is open.

It's closed due to Covid19. The sign said to call a number and they would assist over the phone, but no one answered the call.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Great place to get the official maps for the superstition mountain range and Tonto national forest. You can also get six months of gate codes for the wilderness areas that are secured with a gate by just bringing photo ID.

I just stopped by to get updated access to the Bulldog Canyon area. They're always friendly and helpful. They have lots of free information available as well as maps for Tonto National Forest (10). Tonto annual passes can also be purchased here.

I stopped by to get information. The folks there are very nice and answered all of my questions.

Monthly meeting for Tonto Recreation Alliance (aka TRAL). OHV people should volunteer with TRAL to keep our trails open.
