I've been attempting to get and stay sober for the past decade now. It's been so frustrating going to these nice treatment centers that are so helpful short-term, but offer no long-term support. Soba offers the accountability and stability I needed to piece my life back together slowly. I'm still in their sober living program with 9 months sober, working weekly with a therapist who truly cares about all of her clients, a case manager who helps set up any appointments I neglected keeping up with in active addiction, as well as providing transportation (which is super helpful when you come in with a DUI) as well as providing letters for court regarding the progress I've made in treatment. The majority of the staff are formar clients and are always more than happy to talk share their experience with anyone who's struggling. In my time here, I've reconnected with my family, began an amazing new job in a field that I thought I had lost my passion for, and I've been able to struggle along the way while continually receiving support and guidance. I’ve been with soba for 6 months now and I can honestly say I couldn’t have gotten sober without them. I struggled with drugs for 12 years and had been trapped in the same endless cycle of depression and drugs. Tried to stop using multiple times on my own and it just couldn’t be done. Soba has treated me like family and not just a number since coming in here. They have done everything in their power to help me overcome a lot of adversity and hardships along the way. Staff is absolutely amazing and this whole company truly cares about you and your well being.

After who knows how many detoxes, day programs and IOP’s, Soba Mesa came into my life. Their inpatient program allowed me to focus on me. Through this program my light bulb came on and I figured out how to be and stay sober long term. Not only did the amazing staff and program help me navigate sobriety and my healing but it also gave me my purpose in my profession. Now I get to teach and guide people in recovery and others in meditation and mindfulness practices so they in turn can possibly feel the freedom and power I feel today. Four in a half years later I am still happy, joyous and free living my purpose every single day, thanks to Soba Mesa! I don’t even have the words to explain how much the soba experience changed and improved my life. Between the groups, the therapist, the program and the RA’s I learned how to live life. I struggled for a few years for recovery to stick, but soba was always there behind me to pick me back up and move forward again. The people soba hires to be residential assistants are mostly all in recovery and have the compassion we need to make the beginning of a recovery experience worth it. The entire soba team’s only goal is to raise us up and teach us we are all worthy of happiness and love. I love soba and would not be 20 months sober today and happy beyond belief. Thank you Soba team for loving me until I could love myself.
