I'm grateful for the people I met, but very confused as to if it's a non profit. If so, aren't board members supposed to be separate from the artist collective? The collective members/volunteers are constantly getting roadblocked without explanations. There was a honeymoon period of 3 months, where a lot got done, before all the drama of talking behind other people's backs and secrecy of who the board members are.

I absolutely love the Millet House. A friend recommended I visit the Art Gallery and I was so touched by the heart of the community there. Eventually I even moved in and lived there for a year. In that time I saw tireless dedication and tremendous generosity of those involved. The goals of the collective are lofty and are being actualized. They aim to create a community art space where all are welcome as artists. I have seen shows by experienced artists and those who would never have thought to put on an art show without the support of the Millet House. To this day I am deeply impressed with the vision of the Millet House and their perseverance in holding on to their ideals while pursuing growth and evolution so that they may continue serve their community in the most relevant way. I recently joined the board so that I may continue to support this venture in its journey.

It's woman's house, as a hobby nonprofit. She's rarely there so there aren't regular hours of operation. The house is in need of a lot of repair. Doesn't look legal for public events.

Local collective artists plus a lot of help for the community like a free book nook and how to cook healthy classes. Good intentions with this space. Buy Local Art!
