Great trail, not overly busy! The cave is cool but the trail itself was glorious - beautiful Saguaros all around and other desert fauna. Chipmunks at the cave were surrounding us at all corners as we ate our top of hike snacks!

Incredible experience with the family less than 35 minutes from Central Phoenix. Parking at the trail head can be a little scarce on busy weekends, but don’t let a little walk to the trail head prevent you from experiencing 3 miles of incredible desert views, towering saguaros, and a the one-of-a-kind scenic cave view at the very end. One of my favorite hikes in the entire Phoenix area. Don’t miss this one! (Intermediate, with a bit of mild rockclimbing, although my two-year-old daughter was able to make it all the way to the end)

Outstanding hike. I’ve hiked it multiple times with my kids, youngest is 8. Mostly it’s fairly easy with a long slow incline till you reach the base of the mountain. The final stretch before the wind cave is a little more steep, but it’s generally safe the whole way. Great views for the entire hike too. Bring water! The more, the better. An awesome hike.

A great hike! Not too hard and if you can bring your family pretty easily. We saw a lot of kids when we went up. At the top it wasn't too windy when I went but I would assume by the name that is more of a rarity. There is also a sign that says hike at your own risk beyond this point that is right next to the wind Cave. Don't know what is beyond that though.

Beautiful trail and worth the drive if you are coming from Central Phoenix (like me ) it's an easy-moderate trail, heavily traveled on the weekends. Pet friendly!
