Due to Covid regulations, masks are required. The meet and greets are conducted outside in the back of the business. An appointment is necessary to see the animals. The staff, especially Jamie, is friendly and knowledgeable. I have been extremely happy with the dog I adopted from Metairie Humane Shelter! Metairie Humane Shelter is a wonderful group of folks who truly have their heart in their work. Finding homes for these babies is not an easy task but until they do find the perfect forever homes they are well cared for and loved here. Housed inside of Pampered Pets where you can board your pet with the same loving people.
I saw some Adorable puppies that are waiting for YOU to bring them home.. Wonderful job they are doing for these temporarily unwanted puppies. Go rescue them...they need your Love!
This place does great work with very few resources. I highly recommend.
Mr. Harold and Mr. Bill are a God-send not only to Metairie but Jefferson Parish. They made our adoption easy, and stress free! But more than anything it was an education process that our local vet failed to inform us on many needed vaccines. We feel like we have a new extended family!
