Attempted to purchase a couple of pieces of aluminum channel to fix my boat. I first contacted them via the website for quote and they did get back to me with the fact they don't have the size requested (and listed on their site) but they did have channel with 1/2" longer leg than I had requested BUT NO QUOTE FOR IT. So I emailed a response to the quote that I was fine with the longer leg, please quote that. Never heard from them again. I then sent my wife to their store with all the information required and they referred her to a direct competitor. She said that if we didn't need to fix the boat she would have walked out because no one wanted to help her. They finally said they will check their other stores and get back to us. I have since sent her to Westbrook Metals. While they are usually VERY expensive we sill see how they are at customer service. If I was this hard to get a quote out of I would be out of business. They are the IN-Convenience Store of Metals
Great visit. I arrived and was helped with both information and pricing. They were knowledgeable and suggested various other options I had not thought about. Ended up buying some square tubing and was very happy with both the product and the help. Would definitely recommend for anyone desiring metal products.
I love the feel of a family business! Needed to make some repairs to the boat trailer, they were able to get me what i need, cut it down and even delivered. I was not the best customer (constantly changing measurements and materials) but they stuck with me and with a smile on their faces. overall a great experience and will be coming back
Their website is great, it let me find what I needed quickly and my late night web request for info/quote was answered the next morning. The staff was super friendly and nice when I called to make payment. The best part was that I didn't have to leave my house at all to get what I needed.
They went out of their way to find a stainless steel sheet that did not have any imperfections (scratches, bends, etc). Was able to get a quote in a few days and place my order over the phone.
I got a wild hair and decide to take on a task of converting my french doors into a sliding barn door style to save space. Was able to get all the materials I needed from Metal Supermarkets and saved a lot more money versus having to buy a packaged kit online. The service was great and fast!!! Would recommend.
Seriously love this place!! Every time we visit, they are friendly and fast. Its a DYI paradise. We buy scraps from them and even if they need to cut from a full piece its reasonable in pricing.
