3.5 is actually what I think Don Gloton needs. I’m all in for Venezuelan food, especially Tequeños and cachapas. Seriously my fave! In this case, they do have speedy service, quick ordering, nice menu. I ordered my cachapa and it wasn’t the worst but it also wasn’t the best. For 9.99 I’ve had more amazing, bigger, stuffed, loaded with nata, cachapas. This one fell a little short on the awesomeness. The tequeños were extremely disappointing. Truthfully 5 for 6 wasn’t too bad but the cheese to dough ratio was just way out of proportion. They were too thin and crispy, a little bit on the dry side vs thick and loaded with thick cheese with delicious soft dough and enough crisp to soft goodness. I didn’t try the arepas because it’s just easier and always better to eat them at home. Otherwise you always end up disappointed. My suggestion to the owner is please please please load up the cachapa a bit more. Give it more nata and shredded cheese on top. The tequeños just need some love. Perhaps changing up the dough and just wrapping it around a better cheese would truly make the difference. The sauce station is on point, that’s what made me almost love the tequeños. Overall, good food, not the best Venezuelan but definitely conveniently located in the Wynwood Marketplace.

Had the arepas. They were just ok, and very expensive. Go elsewhere
