This place is a dream come true for people coming out of prison. The staff is caring, professional and devoted to helping the formerly incarcerated re-enter society with dignity and confidence. I'm convinced after my experience volunteering with Riverside House over the last 10 months that our country will be a better place if every person coming out of prison spends a few weeks in Riverside House.

Horrible. The owner is never there. Or so they say at the front desk. Thieves. Stold my good friends jewelry and took a week to return clothes and belongings. Never returned the jewelry. Beware
Riverside Christian ministries otherwise known as Riverside House is a sham. Just go to their website and look at all the photos in the gallery. All sorts of smiling faces of staff interacting in social settings mainly looking to collect donation money. And what is suspiciously missing are all the success stories of actual inmates programming, showing progress in efforts to re-integrate back into society. Pictures such as those are missing for a reason. What is advertised is not what’s going on behind the scenes.Riverside Christian ministries is an organization of hypocrisy and should be audited and held to account for many more failures than success stories. If it wasn’t so pathetic it would be laughable as to all the bogus programming they say they offer to the reentry inmate population. Very recently one of their executive staff “Rueda” was fired or removed for “inappropriate conduct” between staff and reentry inmates... a perfect and telling example of what many reintegrating persons endure at this facility. This facility should be shut down.
Such s great place. There is a great team, committed with the comunity and clients service. Every day, I see restored people around because their ministry. We are so proud to be partners with RH, a wonderful christian ministry with a lovely staff. May God keep blessing you.
They deserve - no stars! I will be calling the MDPD if any of my property is missing. Which seems to the norm around this place. I was taken out to serve my last 10 days in the FDC due to some bogus state warrant. My mother attempted to retrieve my personal property, but this scandalous director, Tejada, stonewalled her. Then when I was finally re;leased in Minnesota. I contacted the Tejada and he tried play hardball with me. I'm sure the Miami Herald and MDPD will be getting a call if any of property is missing. Thieves! Staff runs around using speaker phones while busting into your rooms in the middle of the night while you are sleeping.
