For anyone wanting to truly wanting to truly experience the Everglades, a visit to Shark Valley Everglades National Park is a must. There is a 15 mile paved loop that takes you into the heart of the Everglades. You can hike it or bike it but you will truly be blessed. For those who are not as physically fit to bike or hike this magnificent trail, the team tour is a excellent alternative. Not only do you get up and personal with the Everglades but with the wildlife as well. I was able to get up to a foot away from the alligators and was able to get spectacular photographs.

I did not take the tram, but opted to ride a bike on the trail. The number alligators is astounding! Photo ops every 50 feet.... eventually you have to quit stopping and peddle! Cost for a bike all day was only 20.00, and rental process is quick and easy.

Shark Valley is awesome! It's sooooo nice (and important) to get away from the crazy bustle of the city and see the real Florida! It's wide open and lots to see, including amazing expanse of the Everglades and lots of wildlife.

Went 02/03/2021. Social distancing procedures in place, kinda. Saw TONS of wildlife including male and female adult gators, small baby gators, yearlings. Over 10 species of birds including the gorgeous purple gallinule and even found an Anhinga nest with fledglings. Cranes, egrets, storks, song birds and ibis also seen. Water level was still incredibly high for this time of year, so less of the migratory birds so far. The observation tower was neat and saw some large soft shell turtles! Our guide was informative and great! Would definitely do again.

We took the tram tour this morning. It lasted 2 hours and saw many birds and gators, including baby gators. The guide, Juan, is very knowledgeable about the area and the driver, Taylor, stopped many tines for us to take photos. Well worth the time and money.
