I have a daughter in 10th grade and we could not be more pleased. The faculty and staff are truly dedicated to the students and families enrolled here. There is a drive, energy and dedication to excellence that Mr. Bell exhibits over and over again that is directed at all facets of the school. I would encourage anyone that is looking for a co-ed, day school to attend an open house. I think you will be amazed at what a great school we have right here in our community.

Middleburg Academy is an extraordinary private high school (9-12 with a wonderful 8th grade program). Middleburg Academy is brilliantly run by Colley and Edwina Bell. The staff and faculty are gifted, enthusiastic, caring educators. We have a 14 year old son currently in the ninth grade, who entered in the eighth grade program. He could not be happier!!!! At Middleburg Academy we have found a top academic high school experience with a dedication to STEAM, and a truly no-bullying, no drug atmosphere. There are a variety of excellent sports teams each season (with a no cut policy!), and an abundance of student clubs. Middleburg Academy has extraordinary Art, Music and Drama staff. The number and depth of the available courses and programs is impressive! Middleburg Academy also has a top notch college counselor. The students enjoy a superb healthy/gourmet lunch program, and stunningly beautiful campus and grounds. We feel fortunate to have our son attending Middleburg Academy. It is a gem of a school. I think the numerous alumni students and parents who continue to participate in school spirit events agree!!
Our experience with Middleburg Academy might have been the worse experience that we have ever had with any school. We entered believing that our child has the opportunity to grow and succeed, instead we ended up having to fight throughout all 4 years with the administration. First of all, the administration is deceptive to parents, they tell my child one thing, and tell us another. Teachers were amazing, but the school cant be run without a PROFESSIONAL administration. It seemed that some of the students were more mature and handled themselves better than the administration. Our child's final year was no short of hell, all we wanted was for her to graduate, and we ended up having to fight with the so called "college counseling" and other department heads in order to graduate in 2015. Don't let this school's reviews fool you, its funny how there is 1 one star review, and then suddenly multiple 5 star reviews pop up. We thought Highland was bad, but this is far worse.
Middleburg Academy has been a wonderful experience for our son!
