Always loved the layout of the Player course so much better than the Jones course at Lyman. The nooks, crannies & nuances make it fun, challenging & a pleasure to play. Course was immaculate & the greens in the best shape ever. Rolled quick & true. We drive from NYC once a month to play there. A testament to the operators & the course

Lyman's really has a gem of a club with 3 beautiful courses and a well equipped driving range and club house. The Jones course is well maintained and casual playing course with great views. The player course is also well kept but much more challenging with tighter fairways and smaller greens. Lyman's also has a smaller par 3 course which i have not played yet. Lyman's really has a gem right in the middle of CT with a course for every player type and skill level.

Course in awesome shape. Fast greens and thick rough. Pace of play good for a Saturday. Spectacular views. Great restaurant and super helpful and friendly staff. Easily 5 stars

The course is great but not knowing what's around the next corner will wreak havoc on your tee shots so beware. The carts are excellent and full of tech, being able to keep your score and listen to music from your own device is something nice to have. Some things I didn't like we're there not being a starter to let people know who's in your foursome and who's next to play, shouldn't be an issue.

Played the Players Course on June 14 went out at 2:45. The course was in overall great shape for a public course. It is narrow and slopey so if you don't hit straight be prepared to lose some balls. I am a 61 yr old female and I played from White tees. After about 6 holes we had nobody in front or behind us and the weather was perfect. Our son is a golf pro so we play many public and private courses. On 06/21 played again it was exremely hot fast greens, crowded due to fathers day but overall pace was good. Course was much dryer due to heat but still in good shape. Please repair your ball marks on the green! Overall highly recommend this course..get a time during the week to avoid the crowds. Cart paths are in bad shape on some holes so watch that.
