Update- after speaking with the parts and repairs manager he gave me a 100% break on the parts which I greatly appreciate. Paying only labor works for me as there has to be compromise somewhere. I hope I don’t have any issues anymore otherwise it is either a new unit or switching to smart tv and end of story. I will add the managers name when I get the email with confirmation Unhappy is an understatement! Boat KVH3 in winter of 2016 and installed it with a marine electrician/technician. Fast forward August 2018 the Athena crapped on me. On the phone many times with KVH technicians, buying new power cable 100, had to ship it to KVH for repairs which cost about 900-1000 to repair, finally got it back in the end of the season. Again fast forward to 5/2019 just the beginning of the season and the system is shut again. Many phone calls, every technician different story, buy new power source 200, not it. Again calling KVH, technician is impatient telling me to run all these tests as if I am a KVH installer. So back to ground zero, either call someone to come and look at it for 200 an hour, the nearest marina that is certified is 1 hour away or take the damn thing apart again and ship to KVH for probably another 1000. Very disappointed from the system and from the company

about a year a go.i bought kvh a7 in motion sat dish,pay 3000 dollars,thought i was getting a good unit.they were more money then other ones,after a year the thing stop working.i call kvh and they told me,send it back it should be warranty,when i cALLED AND SPOKE TO JEFF he said the same thing about the warranty,they had my kvh system for over 2 months no call , now jeff,wouldnt return my call, they said he was out,and had to speak to brenda,and she said there was nobody there by that name,and now it was going to be 1200 hundred dollars,now,they should have call me and said going to be 1200, that if you dont want or we will resell it.great after spend 3000 dollars do i let them keep it,so payed i spoke to the manger rick he said when i ship it , it broke,or the installer broke it.they told me just send kvh unit to them they didnt tell me to shipped it any special way.beware they dont stand behind kvh 7 in motion sat,you can buy a wine guard in motin for half the price,it work just as good,it is just is a little bigger.we have taken off kvh units off our party buses we have 10 of them,beware of theses people and there not standing behind there product
