1st time here. I have an old macbook pro (late 2011) & wanted more RAM so it'd work faster. Apple no longer services this model because it's so old, but they gave me the numbers & addresses of some independent Apple certified service shops. I went with this shop because of the friendly associate I spoke with on the phone who explained things in a non-technical way. At the store, I experienced the same level of service. The prices were reasonable for the ram and they do free installation. I was out of there in about 20 minutes. I really appreciate that they didn't try to upsell me or anything. Honest, efficient, friendly service. Highly recommend. Parking was easy as they have their own lot. And they were adhering to physical distancing guidelines.

The best experience - I took my Macbook Pro here to be repaired under warranty and it was incredibly easy to get an appointment, and repairs were done sooner than estimated. It was far easier than dealing with the genius bar.

I am not sure how to give this place a better review. Of course everyone has a subjective experience but mine was superb. When I first walked in, both people working were very personable, helped me with some other music product questions and took care of my order. The repair was somewhere around 600 which I found to be expensive but knew I had a macbook and apple is known for destroying their clients with repair costs. The repair was estimated to take 3-4 weeks. Fast forward, about a week and a half, I received an email telling me my repair was done and that they managed to get my deposit refunded. I wasn't aware that I paid a deposit but apparently the tech at 'Mikey's' convinced Apple to fix my screen and keyboard at no cost to me and I received a FULL REFUND for my repair and my computer came back looking brand new and seems to be running amazing. I was worried my information would be swiped which they said was around 70 Percent Likely. All of my data is on my computer. Sometimes life goes your way and I'd have to give my gratitude to 'Mikey's Hook Up LA' for making that happen for me. Great guys, Great Store and Great Service.

It’s the all new Radio Shack . So lucky to have this close to Echo Park. I don’t have to shlep to Guitar Center or the Apple Store anymore for random supplies for my Recording Studio. Even where I practice in Highland Park it’s close. So far they’ve had everything I need. I just learned they also do AppleCare repairs on Apple Computers . So far I don’t need any repairs . Knock on wood .

As a small business it should be oriented towards customer service and great communication and not acting like customer that got sent there by apple needs to know everything about the process (even though i mentioned its my first time in a non apple store). And i chose this store because of covid and to support local businesses... learned my lesson.

My MacBook Pro bad a display issue and Mikeys so kindly fixed it within 2 weeks. They put in a new screen and new everything in my computer. They are beyond kind and so helpful! Please bring any tech issues to Mikeys. Thank you guys so much. If I could give them 1000 stars, I would.
