I had my intake appointment with Lewis today... and while I was anxious at first about seeking proper care because of past experiences, he almost immediately put me at ease, by being open, and making our conversation just flow comfortably. He was very professional, yet friendly. I work in Mental Health myself, so it was nice for someone to understand how working in this field during a pandemic and mental health crisis period, can effect your own Mental Health. Thanks a bunch to Lewis for all your help today!
"I'm hesitant to prescribe anxiety medications because I've been prescribing them to other patients too much" Translation: your treatment is going to suffer because I'm on the verge of losing my dea number. Thanks for hearing what you wanted, Lewis, and assuming I would only take klonopin. My only concern, which I expressed multiple times, was being a dart board for off label meds which make me faint or wet the bed. I would recommend this practice to nobody. He cut the appointment short, had an agenda to his treatment course which didn't seem to stem from patient care as much as bowing down to pharmaceutical companies and his own well-being. Shameful.
This place is amazing! I recently switched care here for med management and already feel like I’m in the best hands! I called Danielle and was able to get a same day appointment since I was not doing well switching and stopping maintenance medications. Since the first phone call, I’ve been treated with nothing but kindness, respect and understanding...there’s no judgment here. I can honestly say this is a place where you go to get better because Lew and Danielle really care about their patients and want them to have the best quality of life possible. It’s a very welcoming and transparent environment where you can be honest about the care you need and what works and doesn’t work for you. They’re very thorough in making sure you know how each medication will affect you and when you can expect to see results. Honestly, I can’t wait to continue my care here because I know Lew and Danielle will help me figure out how to live my best life! Thank you both for everything you do!
Having never been treated for real diagnosis’s from a psychiatrist, for I was so happy to have found this office. I have major depression and anxiety but I knew something else was going on. Dr. Lewis S. hit the nail on the head and within two days I was feeling like a new person. This is after suffering a great loss and having a mental break and struggling for the last four years. If you’re looking for a friendly place with no judgment this is the man for you. I’ve already sent several people his way as I am a nurse myself and understand the struggles medical personal face on a daily basis! For my first time trusting a person with my scariest secret I was pleasantly surprised, and I am happy to continue to see him and stay on top of my mental health meds. I can tell he actually just wants to help people get better! Colorado Springs is lucky to have this Doctor!!!!
