This is long but worth reading. So I dropped my dress off a month before the wedding. She told me my dress would be ready the week before the wedding and that she would call me. No call. I called her and asked what day is best to pick it up (it’s already going into the WEEK of the wedding at this point). We picked a day for me to come get it and when that day came to pick it up, I called to double check it was ready and it wasn’t ready. I even had written in my phone the day and time we discussed on the phone, so that was frustrating that she wrote down the wrong day. The next day I went to get the dress (dress was hemmed and taken in) and I asked her to break the pricing down for me because her pricing is NOT reasonable. She charges 53 for a hem (when most places charge less) and 35 to be taken in (which was understandable), but I wasn’t expecting to pay a total more than 60 because that’s average cost for alterations. She charged me almost 90?! Which is outrageous and not reasonable and responds to me very rudely, “well you shoulda took it somewhere else then.” Then I told her I was upset about how she said it would be ready the week before the wedding but it wasn’t, and she said with attitude and such a rude, aggressive tone, “sorry about that.” (She clearly was not sorry about anything or apologetic for her mistake. Did not handle the service in a timely manner, reasonable price or professionalism. Very disappointed in my experience. I do not recommend taking your dress for alterations here.

I found Mary doing a Google search and she is sooo sweet! My two childhood friends were getting married a few months apart — and Mary did dress alterations for both weddings! Pricing is very reasonable and Mary does a stellar job. Highly recommend!
