A congenial, busy, dedicated to art and outreach organization. With the new SHAC (Suzanne Haskew Arts Center) on Main Street in Milford, the art and community outreach is heightened. The SHAC offers art classes, opportunities for studio space for working artists, a warm and friendly atmosphere to join others in playing with paint, or for the eager artist, to find teachers, other local art to view and appreciate, and a place for all ages to play and learn with art. Events include Brews&Brushes (Riverfront Brewery is next door), walk-in art, Open Mic nights, art classes, PAN Night in April (Poetry and Art night, together with the Milford Public Library) and projects designed for developmentally challenged people of all ages. Come in during SHAC open hours and have a look around. You'll make new friends and want to come back soon.
