We're very happy with our install from Second Generation Energy. They listened to our needs and completed the install quickly and professionally. We haven't paid a power bill since. I can't believe more people don't have solar. Our system will pay for itself in five years.

Everyone that I have had the pleasure with working with and speaking to at SGE have been great. The whole experience was painless and rewarding. Having solar on the house has been great but if I'm being honest, I was a bit unsure about how having the panels installed would look. Thankfully SGE installed them amazingly with no exposed conduit, no ugly metal piping, just large super efficient panels. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a solar installer and have had 3 friends use them as well.

We are coming up on 5 years now, I got my system installed in July of 2013 and SGE solar did an awesome job putting the system up and keeping all the wiring neat. They promised about 10000 kw per year but I'm averaging over 11000. My electric bills have been 0 dollars since 2013, and I have a few hundred dollars buffer credit on my electric account for the winter months. According to my spreadsheet, less than 800 dollars remain now to recoup my initial investment for the system. I should be just about paid up by the next SREC payment in May. The system has been flawless since installation. I learned how to clean the snow off in the winter easier than a snow rake now. If the snow is light and fluffy, powder snow, I fly my drone over the panels before the sun comes up to melt any snow and the rotor wash blows away all the snow!! If the snow is heavy or some of it melted on the panels, then I put up a ladder in the middle of the house slightly shifted towards the upwind side and use a water hose to wash the snow off the panels in the middle of the day when the sun is bright. This idea works from about 25 degrees and above on a sunny day between 12 and 1pm. I learned that getting the snow off quickly before it melts and refreezes is the best way with the least amount of effort, and having the snow off generates more electricity for me especially in the winter months when its mostly needed to keep me from having to pay for electricity. SGE Solar does excellent work, I highly recommend them for the job. And don't wait any longer, they are practically giving the system away as in 5 years you'll get all you money back. Its an investment that you can't lose in, and not only that but its great for the environment to fight global warming.

I did a tremendous amount of research on panel producers and installers, and had a number of in-home consultations with different companies. SGE (and SunPower) was far and away the best - they were clearly the most knowledgeable, straightforward, and professional, and their commitment to customer service was impressive. They made everything incredibly easy, from the initial paperwork all the way through to connection, and the post-sale communication (particularly around SRECs) has been excellent. I installed my system a year ago, and I've been truly amazed with the performance. I would highly recommend SGE and SunPower to anyone considering a solar system.
