Felipe and his instructors Dan and Steve were amazing during my two days of intermediate lessons in Kailua. While very dialed into safety and learning to kite the right way, they were also super supportive and eager to share the kite stoke. I would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone.

Felippe is a very, very good instructor. He moves at your pace, skips nothing, and focuses on safety. If you have experience in sailing, wake boarding, or any other water sport, all of these abilities are blended into his teaching. He is passionate and well-liked at Kailua Beach, and is a dealer for many brands. Now back in the Bay Area, I just received the foil that he ordered for me yesterday. Thank you Felippe- sharing the stoke!
Decent experience learning kiteboarding, but super expensive for what you get. Group sessions means you really only get about 30 minutes with the kite. Reply to owner: We enjoyed the experience, we just thought 75/hr was alot for a group lesson. Being from Portland (the gorge) I know beginner private lessons can be longer and cost less. Changed my review to 4 stars since you replied.
Fellipe is amazing! Made the trip all the way out to Kailua before us and told us the conditions weren't right and so he went back to change out his gear in Mililani and met us at sand island. Friendly and very encouraging. Always giving helpful tips as you learn and make your mistakes. Made for a great memory for me and my cousin!
Have now done three sessions with Fellipe and his team. Excellent experience. Great communication, easy to schedule (even when wind conditions change), great people and high quality approach to making you an independent kiter. The gear they use is new and current. Highly recommended.
Amazing experience with Fellipe. He knows how to adjust his lessons to your level and push you to improve and get better. Safety is always his first rule so he knows how to push you without compromising safety. Highly recommended and worth every penny. He puts his heart and soul in his classes and you can tell.
Felipe is a great instructor for many reasons. He emphasizes safety which is very important when learning an extreme sport. His command of the sports he teaches are expert level and his communication skills are clear, concise and thorough. All you have to do is listen to what he tells you to do, apply the direction and soon you will be on your way to having the most fun possible in any of the activities Felipe teaches! He shares his love of water sports with contagious joy. His teaching was effective, safe and fun! He knows the best spots to train and kite, his gear is great, and he’s superbly skilled in water sports. Highly recommend!!
