Local foods without the trip to the farmer's market! The Mill Spring Farm Store is the place for fresh fruits, veggies, a large selection of grass-fed meats, eggs, dairy, nut butters, baked goods, prepared sauces and dips, and even crafts and gifts-- all local, direct from the farmer or maker. For your sweet tooth, grab a yummy home-baked cookie or check out the variety of local goat milk ice cream some vegan treats in the freezer. In the cold case you might find already-shucked corn or bagged blueberries-- the selection changes based on the week/season as the store is filled with produce from local farmers. There are usually a few organic options- unfortunately pesticide-free farming isn't more prevalent in the area but hopefully that is beginning to change slowly. The Farm Store is located in an old school building with a variety of other offices/initiatives and a community bulletin board and is a great place to find information, flyers, etc on local goings on, businesses,and agricultural events.
