- August 16th full day fishing, multi species charter- We could not be happier with our awesome day on the water! Captain Bill Moore and his mate Dez couldn't have been a better combo to spend the day with !!!! My girl wanted to go fishing on her birthday and fish she did ! We saw humpback whales, caught various size hallibut (biggest was 110lbs). limit up on rockfish. One nice silver that was delicious for dinner! And I had an awesome selection of music and smiles throughout the day!!! Water was flat , weather was perfect. You really couldn't ask for a better birthday out fishing !! Might go again next week just because it was so much fun

I'm a wedding photographer based out of Anchorage and have had the pleasure of working with Tom over at Miller's Landing twice now. Both times, he has been incredibly lovely to work with - doing everything he can to accommodate my wedding couples even if it means going out of his way to do so. Miller's Landing is such a magical place and I'm thrilled every chance I get to go there. Looking forward to many future trips for work and play!

They have 10 RV spots by the sea. These are nice. But anything else is just a mud pit. Our spot was squized between two different places, we were kind of sharing the spot with another RV and we had to get an extension cord to rich the electric plug. The table was almost on top of a fire pit which was full of plastic and cardboard from 6-packs. We rented for 2 nights but we ended up staying only one and I think it would have been better to just stop in a parking lot along the road. Very disappointed.

IN ALASKA', millers landing is sitting in paradise... its somewhat rough around the edge. and staff does seem bothered by their customers, but i stayed busy, and loved it all...the whales, the fishing, the glaciers, the sled dogs..the moose, the eagles, otters, bears, oh my... I recommend flying in and renting a motorhome, it was great.. am planning another stay there, this time we are DRIVING in from the southern coast of TEXAS. "south padre Island," Pulling our RV, lets hope its another good stay..... ..ALASKA is the most beautiful place I know.

There is excellent potential at Millers Landing for a new example to be set in the way of 21st century EcoBusiness that yields millions of dollars in revenue while restoring the Natural state of the land and ecosystem. "Working Vacations", Stewardship Projects and being the primary base in Alaska for several upcoming Motion Picture Films about People and Nature. Multi-millions of dollars have been earned in this small Alaska town by very successful businesses like Millers Landing. Now, with more and more people of all ages seeking a more meaningful and enjoyable Alaska ADVENTURE rather than a tourism propelled cattle drive, the sudden and extreme drop in tourism can be replaced by a more ecologically and therefore Economically sound business of Education - Stewardship - and Production... putting people to work caring for the Land, Trees and Water, Trails, shoreline, riverbank. They are can really use some stewardship. A whole new industry is born that is mutually beneficial instead of mutually assured destruction. We destroy Nature, She destroys us. We care for Nature, She cares for us. Millers Landing is the best place in the world for this to begin.

The Best of Alaska excursion with Captain Bill, First Mate Dez, and guide Liz could not have been better because of their knowledge, education, and enthusiasm. This was the highlight of our vacation. We caught our limit on fish including a 141 pound Halibut (thanks to Penny the jig)!

The cabin was basic but fit our needs. Only one electric by the front door worked and had only one overhead light even though there was over head track lighting. The door has a number key pad to get in. It malfunctioned and we had to call and get another door code to get in. Beds were great we got a good night sleep.
