You probably wouldn’t think that rural Millville would be home to a world-class magic venue, but it is indeed. The Dickens Parlour hosts nightly magic performances during the summer tourist season and features a quaint and intimate theater that only seats slightly more than 50 spectators. Shows generally last about an hour and are big hits with those of all ages, though they’re especially popular with little ones. Shows also include comedians, ventriloquists, and mimes, and ticket prices are surprisingly reasonable. Be sure to check their schedule online before you go, as their hours vary by season and day of the week.

This is an adorable throwback to more innocent times when magic was a guy with an endless scarf in his sleeve. My wee one was transfixed! The theatre itself had some neat architectural elements and I highly recommend this as an evening activity for families at the beach.

I love this local gem. Magic, comedy, and all kinds of fun! The team who runs the Theatre are magicians and love to encourage the magical arts. They also have interesting personalities with lend flavor and color to the shows. They bring magicians from all over the world to this local stage. Please support them by going to enjoy a show! Highly recommended!

This was one of the most unique, relaxing and amazing family experience....im flooring again for sure... the interaction with the staff is like hanging out with a bunch of family and friends....

My husband and I visited for the first time last week, and we both really enjoyed the theater! The standup was great! The ending of the improv with the audiences sentences was hilarious! Nice and clean place, with a very friendly wait staff and employees. They do serve food, but only wraps, and complimentary popcorn of course. We recommend the Hot Dickens Fireball Cider, sweet,hot and not overpowering on the liquor. We will both be returning
