My wife Kathy and I sent our 16 y/o daughter to Shortridge in early 2020. All in all, it was a great experience for her and the work she did there appears to be sticking and propelling her into a future that once seemed dim. Presently, she's enjoying and doing well in her junior year. We both recommend the academy to anyone seeking help for their teen.

Shortridge is an exceptional program. I found it not only academically excellent but also first rate in the mental health support they provide. As a clinician, I whole heartedly recommend the school. - JDW

Shortridge was an excellent choice for us. Our daughter is still reaping the benefits of her two semesters there, now in her junior year at Elon.

I have known Adam for 30 years. The team and approach with students at Shortridge represents his care for helping kids. Shortridge is a high quality option providing the same academic accreditation as top NE boarding schools and colleges (New England Association of Schools and Colleges), licensed therapists to help students address anxiety, depression, and family issues. with a semester minimum length of stay. As CEO of Paradigm Treatment, we have and will continue to educate our families about this great option once they finish our 30-60 day mental health residential program.

The staff are some of the best people I've worked with. I've been in and out of treatment for quite some time and I have to say I have never felt as cared about or understood by any professionals as I have by my therapist, the clinical director and all other staff. Yes, some are tough, and the rules do seem unfair at times, but compared to many other programs in this field I highly recommend. While I was pulled from the program early, I have to say the biggest positive of this program are the amazing staff. Cara, Christina, Chrissy, Kelsea, Ralph, John, Isaac, Brett and everyone else showed me compassion and understanding and I am very grateful. I think for me, my experience at Shortridge was stressful and negative mainly due to my interactions with peers and not due to the facility, staff and program itself. I wish I had come here originally, instead of the slieu of programs I was subjected to prior. Maybe things would have worked out differently with a more positive peer group.
