I highly recommend you avoid any such dealings with this Place or anyone involved. She has a history of the most awful horse abuse.

They are doing their best to take care of the horses, pigs, and a donkey. I enjoyed spending time learning about the horses. Each animal has a unique personality and I hope more people volunteer because these animals need us. The volunteer who showed us the horses was very friendly and informative. Cool place.

Clairese, the owner is the rudest person I've ever dealt with. We made plans to meet for equine therapy. I worked the whole time the first time and had to pay 45.00 to work. I didn't even get to ride a horse. Whatever that was fine. Well then, I asked for a copy of my paperwork and I was immediately met with remarks such as ...im not responsible for your paperwork...you didn't make copies? Etc. Then i responded and said no I didn't Im sorry and then she got tremendously rude and told me I was dismissed and the sheriff would meet me if I showed up there. All of that because I asked to have a copy of my paperwork. She's a bully to mentally disabled people which is the opposite of what she's supposed to be doing. I basically paid her to make me work and for her to treat me like dirt because of a question. Don't use her or go to her. I promise you will be highly DISAPPOINTED!!!!! Go anywhere but there. And to reply back to her comment. First of all, she was never there I dealt with a ranch hand who was there so she has no idea what she's even talking about and i grew up around horses so Im not scared of horses she just doesn't pay attention. I have more experience with horses than her ranch hand because I'm older than her ranch hand. Second, I was abused from the get go because I asked her how much I needed to pay and I was immediately chastized and told to read the paperwork and I'd find out. Problem was, she had the paperwork and when I asked for it I was bullied. I have emails to prove it. So anyone who has any doubts can email me and Ill forward those messages to them. She's a bully to patients in horse therapy. Don't trust any of them.

Don't volunteer here, if you haven't gathered that from all the other reviews. Clairese is a nasty person who badmouths her volunteers

I had volunteered here with my husband a few years back, I'm also wondering if this is the same owner's too? I pray these animals are being taken care of properly now. They had many that were in horrific shape! Feeding bowls never cleaned out properly and many not getting their hooves trimmed or shoed just the few they could afford. They would go without proper nutrition for over weeks at a time, just hay. I was yelled at so much and told not to come back. I did love it there the first few times I came out, then kept seeing all the red flags sadly. I really hope all of these animals are healthy now! That poor pig and pony copped up in that small enclosure together, I just don't get it. Horses out in the fields with holes everywhere. The fields never tended to. I really really hope more people come out and leave a review that is recent to prove me wrong about the conditions there now.

My husband volunteered here a few years ago. After reading these reviews I wonder if it is the same owner? If so you are being deceived! When we stayed there they always ran out of alfalfa for the herd. They took great care of their personal horses but the rescue horses had to go with only hay a lot of the times because they couldn't afford enough alfafa for all the horses but the owners can eat a steak dinner and spend 100 at tge movies. As for the Happy Hour I would never take my child there with the way the owner yells and screams and cusses at everyone

The folks here were friendly and quick witted. The animals seemed happy and appeared to be in generally good health. We went for one of their Thursday open houses and the kids got to feed them carrots we brought. In their ad on Facebook, they described a tour where we would get to learn a little more and see grooming habits, but they seemed a little unprepared. No big deal though. Time of day may affect what is being done anyway. I think it's just a small thing they do to spread awareness for their ranch, and it was a very pleasant time out with the family! We will probably be back someday.
