Super nice guys. Very good communication all around. The flight was amazing and the price was WAY lower than I would have expected and it included my wife as well for the same price. If you think the gondola view of Lake Tahoe is spectacular wait until you see it from 8000 feet! Flying up and over the surrounding mountains was thrilling but I never felt unsafe. Our pilot was very professional, wore his mask the whole time and made us feel very comfortable all at the same time. On top of this he was very charismatic. I cannot recommend this company enough!

You're never too old to follow a dream ....I bought a Groupon and it turned into my Discovery flight ️ .... So now I'm working towards a Private Pilots Iicense and my friends are planning strange vacations and talking real nice to me....imagine that ....lol
I originally joined the club to build hours for my commercial rating, and wow was I impressed by this operation. The airplanes are well maintained, the staff is super helpful, and if you do the frequent flyer membership you can save a ton on hourly rentals. I live in Northwest Reno and it was TOTALLY worth the drive down to Carson City or Minden to fly 3-4 days a week while time building. Since joining, I've watched the club make consistent improvements over time, and really prioritize the needs of the members. In my opinion the club is the best place to learn how to fly in Northern NV because it has great instructors, awesome training aircraft, and a price that won't break the bank like other flight schools. After completing my CFI rating, I joined the fantastic team of instructors at the club because I wanted to work in an environment that revolved around passion for aviation. I am almost 53 years old and wanted to learn to fly for the longest time. High Sierra Pilots club has been a God send gift for me to finally pursue my passion. Very affordable, great staff, good group of instructors and great environment to learn at Minden airport. If you are in Reno/Tahoe/Carson area and want to finally take that step, I highly recommend joining this club. I would be very happy to personally talk to anyone interested about this club.

I was very fortunate to have Russ Smith as my CFI. He helped me complete my Private Pilot License. Russ is such an excellent and patient instructor that I had a seamless transition to getting my PPL. He was always there to answer questions and to build upon what my prior flight instructors had taught me. He is extremely organized and motivated to teach. He teaches in a very positive way and makes you want to go each day and learn more about being a pilot! I can't say enough good things about him as a Pilot and a person. Thank you Russ!
