We could not have been more happy with the way the owners handled the event center during COVID. The space is beautiful with tall ceilings, brink interior, and plenty of natural light. Although we had a smaller wedding the space was perfect for 30-150. The space made for amazing pictures as well being very convenient for our guests to arrive and our caterers/bartenders to serve. They went above and beyond allowing us to move up our wedding date 24 hrs within 48 hrs notice. We recommend this space for any wedding/reception/event. (They also have great beer downstairs).

We used Day Block for our ceremony, reception, and used their bar services. We picked them primarily because they had an open catering and bar policy and the space is really naturally beautiful. Brittany was our main point of contact and she was responsive to our questions and helped us figure out different options to help the day go smoothly. We ended up renting their first floor auxiliary taproom to move people downstairs during dinner for a cocktail hour and it worked great! It was also really nice that they had tables and chairs we could use for free. The space is beautiful and much more affordable than similar spaces in Minneapolis. We did hire a day-of coordinator to help manage a lot of the details of the day and would recommend others do the same. Also, we were so glad we used their bar services! The selection was great and well priced and the bar tenders managed our rowdy crowd well!

Day Block provides a very “hands off” experience, which is what we were looking for. We were able to bring in our own caterer and bar and that saved us a lot of money. It is a stunning space and they allow you to make it your own. We were sold on all of its natural elements: brick walls, hardwood floors and natural lighting. We had about 125 guests and we all fit pretty comfortably. Their event manager Brittany was really lovely to work with – she was kind and quick to respond to all of our questions. Ethan, the person we worked with on the day of, was very helpful with all of our needs.

THEY RAN OUT OF FOOD! My daughter had her wedding at Day Block a week and a half ago. She put so much time into every detail, it was a beautiful wedding, romantic, intimate, gorgeous. (About 120 guests showing up-perfect size for the way we set up the room). Everything seemed to go perfect (except for a snow storm in Fargo that prevented about a dozen of our guests from showing up, we originally expected about 135). With about a dozen guests not able to show, you would think we would have had plenty of food, but unfortunately we were told at the end of the evening that the last two tables (8 per table) only got a piece of brisket (about the size of a small fist) and nothing else. I was devastated. Our wedding planner did try to talk to the event coordinator about getting the food that was ordered, but to no avail. Imagine if all of our guests would have made the wedding? From the time my daughter and her fiancé booked the venue they had to deal with turnover of the event coordinator, three different coordinators, each time having to remind the newest coordinator what was already paid for (lights, etc.) As the mother of the bride my table was one of the first to get food, I noticed that not all the food we ordered months prior was at the buffet. We ordered brisket, two different sausages, mashed potatoes and a salad. 30 a plate. But one of the sausages were not on the buffet table. I simply don’t know what happened, and since the grooms parents paid for the food, it was not my place to ask for a refund of the missing food, but from what I’ve been told, this is not the first wedding that this has happened to. This is a great venue, wonderful ambiance, good location, but my gosh, the one thing that should never happen for any event is running out of food:( So I will just choose to remember all of the wonderful things that night, but hope this review will let future brides know what could happen, and maybe stay on top of the menu or maybe just find a different venue.
