This place has a nice patio and that about it. The food was good but nothing to rave about. My girlfriend and I ordered burritos. They are good sized but the flavors are lacking. The prices where good. What actually really disappointed me was the Horchata I ordered. Instead of getting Horchata I got milk with crushed ice and some cinnamon sprinkled on top. Very disappointing and kinda ruined the first impression for me. I would probably only come back if friends or family really wanted to eat here.

I order the same dang thing every time I go there. The two women who have been there forever are the best. It was so nice to sit on the patio recently. I had not been there for a while. Comfort food. I hope to try something different some day, but the Enchiladas Suisas is so good!
Thrilled to see them back open and providing carry-out. Their tamales are the best. Incredibly friendly service and legit authentic dishes.
Walked by today and signage indicated they are back open afternoon/evenings (Tuesday-Friday). Eating here is a pinnacle of comfort food for me; friendly staff, reasonable prices, and a hidden gem of a back patio. Great neighborhood restaurant to support.
Lovely service and delicious food. This is not a fast in&out Mexican restaurant. El Norteno is a place to dine, relax and enjoy great food at a leisurely pace.
