I highly recommend this bike shop. I needed a solid commuting bike for work. Mel, the store manager, helped me pick out a nice Trek bike that was perfectly in my budget (400-500). I got one new, right out of the box. They put it together for me, put a kick stand and a back rack on it (which I purchased from them 10% off for getting the bike), and the labor was free of charge. I even got to try out their electric bikes while I waited for the last minute tune ups. I rode the bike 5 miles home and it felt great. Overall, a very happy experience.

I have not purchased a brand new bike in nearly 20 years. The upgrade was a fun one to participate in with Penn Cycle after doing some review online on my own. Getting a chance to speak with them in person is totally worthy of the time! I love supporting local businesses and having a local location to get assistance and future help with the new wheels.
I went into Penn Cycle for the first time ever to look at purchasing a new bike. I had no idea what I wanted or what I was looking for. Right away I was greeted and asked several questions about myself and what I wanted the bike for. Nick was great! I walked up the stairs and he put in front of me the most amazing bike! It was totally me...I even did a happy dance! Nick had the bike serviced really quickly for me so I could take a test ride. I came back and he added a basket and bell to complete my happiness! I love it! Love the service, love Nick and I cant wait to visit them again.
I was immediately helped, made to feel at home and given a great price. Amazing staff who know what they are doing but aren’t at all condescending. I don’t know what else you could possibly want from a bike store. THANK YOU! Will return - you’ve found a v loyal customer
I've been consistently coming here for over 2 years. Every time I've been given great service by people who know everything there is to know about bikes. I'm always impressed by Jordan's expertise and his ability to diagnose an issue immediately. Couldn't recommend this place enough.
There are plenty of places to buy a bike. But having a shop in my neighborhood where I can take my bike for free tuneups and trustworthy repairs makes me happy I chose Penn Cycle, which will be my choice for any future purchases. They have gone above and beyond in keeping me riding year round. When they found a faulty part on my bike, they submitted a warranty claim for me without me having to do anything.
I'm not sure I've ever felt strongly enough to write a review for anywhere, but this place is incredible. They fixed my bike, that had a rough winter - it was kept outdoors and a wreck - it rode like brand new. Not only did they do an amazing job, but they also did it quickly. Within two weeks I was nailed by a car, they were able to pull up all my receipts to get to the insurance, help me find a bike I felt comfortable riding again, something sturdy that felt safe, and evaluate the original worth of my bike, find something comparable in cost and components, and talked to the insurance. Every time I have been back, for more receipts, evaluations and the like they are patient, kind and helpful. They remember me by name, ask about how I'm healing up. It's been unreal how great they have been. They are never condescending, or in a rush to get rid of you. If you're looking for any kind of bike help this is your place.
They are very efficient/quick in changing tire tubes. It takes them about five minutes to do the a job that would take me 30 minutes. Excellent value in parts and bikes (plus MPR membership discount). They put everything back "as-was" too.
