We have a great mix of terrain for all levels; 10% is beginner, 60% is intermediate and 30% is advanced or expert. Mission Ridge (also know as "the Ridge") opened in 1966 and is unique among all Washington ski areas for its close proximity to a city. The Wenatchee Valley area has a thriving tourism industry with the Columbia River, wineries, fruit stands, hiking, biking, river rafting, golfing, fishing, and festivals, and its central location between Seattle and Spokane. No other ski area in Washington receives as much acclaim for the quality of its snow as Mission Ridge. The combination of dry snow and over 300 days of sunshine annually makes Mission Ridge well known throughout the Northwest, providing an experience many people compare to ski areas in Idaho, Colorado and Utah. We also boast more snowmaking than any other area in the state, which allows us to be one of the first mountains to open each year (and stay open in times of little snow).
