We stopped here after seeing a road sign by chance. It's a small museum focused on the excavation of a 1,000 year old village. It has an excellent recreation of the dwelling structures and an assortment of artifacts that have been found at the site. An unusual feature of this museum is that your can visit the active archaeological dig that is ongoing at the site. The museum is reasonably priced and well worth a visit.

Incredible experience. I really enjoyed seeing all the history. There are so many bones and artifacts. It's fun to imagine the area in that time period.

Lovely experience for the whole family. The gentleman that guided and walked with us was very kind, helpful, and full of extra information. He was happy to converse and share information with our children too. The ladies in the gift shop were very friendly to talk to as well. Highly recommend this stop if you’re in the area.

Very interesting stop on our way to Yellowstone. The measum and grounds itself could use a little housekeeping, but I would recommend it for all you native history buffs. **Housekeeping was referring to the level of dust on some of the exhibits inside the museum.**
