Very pretty place to stop and stretch. We did not walk the trail. We just went on the dock on the lake and then walked down to the bottom of the dam. It was pretty neat to feel the spray coming off, the kids loved it. It was an easy walk to the bottom and there is a map of the trails posted at this site. Small parking area available too.

Pretty place. You can fish in the pond and they have a nice trail to walk.
Nice views of the lake. The trails are nice but could be better with directions of the trails. Otherwise don't be scared to try. Took wife and are old dog and we made it through the trails so if you have the desire than you can do it as well.
Stopping here was the end of our magnificent drive through fall foliage and this portion ending at the bottom of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The waterfalls are very easily accessible at the base of the Otter Lake, which reminded us of upstate New York and New England.
Nice walk around the lake and falls, trail is .6 miles.
