My internet went out during a storm. I left two messages on their website and called twice and got no definitive timeline on when they could send someone out. My internet has been down for 5 DAYS and after trying to call again, their robo-caller tells me they plan on making me WAIT 2 MORE. I expect a serious refund. My \High speed\ internet option maxes out at 25mbps and I pay three times what I would in the next neighborhood over. Do not do business with this company. They probably dont care about you either. I dropping them as soon as a real ISP moves in.

I wish there was a way to give zero stars. I have been waiting for FOUR MONTHS to get my internet! I am still waiting. I work from home (or am supposed to be) and have no internet. There is no reason why it should take this long to bury lines so they can install. I initially requested service on July 31, 2020 and they sent someone out and said that there were no cable lines to connect to the house and the engineers needed to do it. They told me it would take a couple of weeks. I have called customer service reps non stop to see when it would be installed and they kept saying they were leaving notes for the engineers as to what the hold up was and never got any answers. October 26th they were supposed to come out per the customer service rep to finally install internet into my house. I called three times to verify that they were actually going to do it that day. NO ONE CAME. They didn't leave a message or anything. My mother was waiting at my house for like 8 hours while I was at work (at someone else's house... not my own because I have to have INTERNET for my work from home job!). My husband tried to call to find out where they were and no one answered the phone. I had to go on the chat to find out that they moved my appointment to November 2nd with no explanation as to why the guy never showed up to my previous appointment. They also told me they could not do it any sooner. November 2nd I called several times to make sure the construction was done and that they were actually going to put internet into my home. They verified that it was scheduled. The installer came to my house and told me that there were no lines installed yet and could not install the internet! The guy said that the engineers have to 'bid' on the job and that could take 2-3 months longer! I'm still waiting... THIS IS RIDICULUS AND THIS COMPANY IS GARBAGE! Thanks for NOTHING WINDSTREAM!!!
Pick anybody else. They deserve zero stars. Took weeks to bury my internet line and after they did my internet stopped working. No one answers or trying to help fix it.
Worst ISP ever. If you have the chance to get any other internet provider please do so. Customer service is horrible, internet speed is slow, over price, long wait time, and when you finally get to talk to a representative they make you repeat your information as if they do not know you. Make you do the same steps of unplugging the router and plugging back in. Once it don't work it takes them 24-48 hr to get a technician to your house. I do not understand why cant they have people monitor the signal of the area and if there is an outtage then have a technician go and fix the issue. Anyways if I have the chance to get some other ISP I would.
2nd tier tech called me a liar(!), said the problems couldn't be happening. Then area field service manager called out of the blue because he'd seen I'd been having trouble for over a year, told me 'Oh yeah, we've been changing out equipment over that time.' Outrageously expensive: 78 for 10mb ADSL plus phone. Reliable for first 8 years, then turned to junk overnight. Finally have competition in the area - Goodbye Windstream!! And good riddance!
