This restaurant is truly deserving of its ranking as one of the best restaurants in NJ! My girlfriend and I are both big fans of Ethiopian food. I surprised her with a dinner at Mesob for our anniversary. The food and customer service exceeded are expectations. Having never eaten at Mesob, we ordered the Taste of Mesob to sample a number of things on the menu. If it's just two diners, you likely won't be able to finish this dish but you'll enjoy trying, lol! The food is absolutely delicious! The lamb was one of my favorite dishes. The staff was friendly and and attentive throughout the evening. You don't have to be shy about asking them for recommendations. We can't give this place enough praise. We absolutely can't wait to finish our leftovers tomorrow! Thank you Mesob for being such a special part of our anniversary!
4 stars are because the food is great. But be careful... They charge you extra even for a little hot sauce. That's why 1 star is reduced. The place gets busy quickly so be there early. Also it takes them a good 30 minutes to bring the food.
Amazing service from our waiter and fantastic food! Our waiter explained the menu and helped us choose both dishes. He was also helpful with asking for spice preference and dietary preferences. Must try the samplers if it’s your first time eating Ethiopian food. The meat sampler and veggie sampler are super filling and flavorful. Will definitely be coming back!

I can't wait to go back! The food was absolutely amazing. It was my first time here and the waitress was very helpful explaining the vegan options and how to properly eat the food. We got vegetable family style sampler for two and I can't say enough. Seriously, I can't wait to return!
The food, atmosphere, and service is AMAZING!!!!!! Everything was delicious and authentic. Best meal I have had in a long time!
The place was well kept clean. The food was fresh and great! The portion size was perfect! The servers were polite attentive and friendly! My son and I enjoyed our lunch date.
