HOA fees seem to be very reasonable, compared to others in the area. Fireworks on Independence Day, Easter Egg hunt, Teen and adult events, life-guarded beaches, and a great maintenance crew are a few of the perks of living here. Like many, I've received a couple of write-ups over the years and have found the HOA to be very reasonable and accommodating in resolution. When I've asked for an extension, they've given it without hassle. Lake drainage was a one-time event based on a mandate from the State. It was fought, and we lost. Now that it is behind us, I anticipate the Summer 2020 season (provided COVID restrictions are lifted) will be fantastic! I love living in this community. Great place to have raised our kids, and a great place to remain.

Nothing changed
Everything is crime if you are not an older married white couple. The area that I live in, is not the \high\ end residences. I am respect to everyone. My vehicle was illegally towed and damaged by the tow company. WITHOUT ANY SIGNS POSTED! And not an illegal vehicle. Someone in the neighborhood slashed my tire. Which then made it \illegal\ to be parked. So just because I don't drive a nice vehicle they basically called it an eye sore and had it towed. This was about 2 months ago. My vehicle is still damaged from the tow company who says they just did their job which was tow my vehicle. After countless calls my vehicle is still damaged. There is a double standard in my neighborhood. The HOA which there is 2 is a joke. I can annoy assume if I lived in a better area of Montclair I would receive better results. Needless to say I'm out of vehicle for a illegal tow complaint by a neighbor who just didn't like my vehicle.
Haven't had any direct experiences with the HOA quite yet. However, we have heard horror stories thus far. Our neighbors tell us to watch out. One lady had her garbage cans out for about 30 minutes so she could clean out part of her garage and place her bins back inside. Someone from the HOA crept by and started taking pictures of the lady and the bins. The neighbor tried explaining to whoever was taking photos that she was planning to put her bins back in. That's just strange and odd. Residents should not have to walk on eggshells in a community where they OWN their own home.
Helpful staff, try to get there early in the morning when they open before any lines form.
