I have been coming here since last Aug after searching different shops to become certified. Niki and Rusty were both patient and answered all my questions I had at the time. The way they taught was very informative and suited me for the way that I learn. Have meet some great people from here both staff wise and also diver wise who have been friendly and have helped me to grow in this sport. Do I recommend this place yes I do and have also referred friends to here that are also thinking about taking up scuba. For my friends that do scuba dive I let them know about upcoming international trips that Scuba X Travels have planned for the upcoming year.

I started diving with Scuba Schools of America in October of last year and it was instrumental in getting me back into the sport since taking a brief hiatus. I’m so impressed by their professionalism, knowledge and attitude about diving. They make sure to give divers plenty of opportunities to learn more about the sport, get certified safely, and get them out on the water... A LOT. I’ve been diving for 9 years, but with SSA I’m still learning new techniques that make me a better diver. I’ve decided to go through the instructor program at SSA because I’m convinced it is the best ITC out there and will continue to enhance my skills.

I was certified years ago by a different agency and decided to take a refresher course while my daughter got certified. This dive shop is AWESOME! They have their own heated pool to learn to scuba or practice your skills. The owner Rusty is amazing. I purchased a zegal concept BC years ago from a different shop and it was good. I decided to buy a new BC that Rusty sells In custom colors and designs. I love it. I’ve never herd of another center that takes underwater pictures of you in training and while diving. That deserves a bottle of wine. As a Veteran, they treat us Very well. Make sure you tell them your a Vet. Semper Fi. Let’s go dive.

They offer a free diving introduction, called Try Scuba, which is absolutely great for introducing and getting you into to something thats complicated, expensive and difficult to get into. I had intentions of getting certified here but the owner Rusty put me off. He has a pushy personality and will twist your arm to sign up for classes. After not too long it becomes apparent he is very arrogant and easily riled, and based on how he treats the staff I would not return.
