On September 11, 2020–I have a colonoscopy exam done at Garfield Medical Center in Monterey Park—the whole procedure went so well and smoothly, was greeted by friendly security guard and receptionist—don’t remember their names, but they were very friendly and professional! The lady at intake also was very friendly, helpful, and professional! In addition to the staffs down stair, I was helped by this very friendly, knowledgeable, and kind Register Nurse named Kristy Duong! I highly recommended this RN to any outpatient exam—she was so kind, friendly, and helpful!!! She deserved high praise for her professional work and make me feel so calm and comfortable before my exam and procedure! Finally, Dr. Chester Zahn was the best in the business in GI and colonoscopy exam!!! Overall, I have the best experience in this medical hospital—love all of the staffs!!! Keep up the good work!

Don't tell then you have a mental illness or even anxiety. They'll make you wait 5 hrs just for a pee test then they tell you \go with my doctor\. I was feeling really bad pain plus I wasn't able to eat for days (reason I went). I left feeling worse.

I recently got admitted at this hospital for my ovarian cyst. I must say they really took good care of me. Special mention to Mimi, Francine, lily and Edith at the 4th floor West. You guys rock!! Thank you Garfield Medical Center.

My grandpa was forced to stay in the hospital without food or water with a 120 degree fever and he wanted to leave but they forced him to stay. And charged him 9000 dollars if you have an emergency I recommend arcadia Baptist or San gabriel

My family and I went to have a meeting with Dr. Kwee and not only does he speak at an incredibly loud volume but he was gossiping about my family and our PERSONAL issues with another nurse in the hallway after the meeting ended. He was talking about my mother’s condition and criticizing my family’s decision. Not only that but one of the security guards thought that my siblings were talking about her and she went off on us as we entered the elevator saying “i’m educated! i don’t laugh at other people”, we were totally confused as to why she said that until i remembered telling my sister about something really funny that happened at the grocery store earlier that day and the guard just so happened to be standing there ASSUMING we were talking about her?? Gossiping doctors and insecurity guards are just the little things wrong with this horribly unprofessional hospital. They have also been pressuring my family to make critical, life-changing decisions daily since my mother was transferred to their hospital. They told us that we would have much needed time to make the decision yet they called everyday to ask if we were ready to let her go. My grandmother had a stroke and was turned away from this hospital earlier this year, my grandfather died here last month and now it’s unfortunate that my mother’s health is now in their hands. One of the nurses who “cared” for my mother also mentioned her “lifestyle choices” because she has a history of addiction. So not only are they incredibly insensitive but they are also very judgmental of their patients. If i can give this place negative ratings i definitely would.
