Plan on 1 hour to see the train and local history museum downstairs: free; donation appreciated. Upstairs are 20 cool paintings of Oregon trail scenes and a gift shop (oddly, no Oregon / Mormon/ California trail merchandise). Admission to the guide-led Oregon Trail staff-led... um... "experience" is 8 and takes about 30 minutes. (It's really neat.)

Without a doubt, a MUST VISIT when in the area. Very well done and the people there are the absolute BEST!!!

I can’t believe how GREAT this museum is!!! It’s very interactive. The stories were great! Showing why the settlers walked instead of riding was a great lesson for my daughters. I wish the rifling machine would have been part of the “how they did it” show. I have to give the museum five stars regardless. The curators made the entire visit an experience my daughters talked about in class and years afterwards.

Absolute favorite museum! Docents (in role) guide you along the trail through authentically designed sets, from preparing for departure to being in camp. There’s also a simulation “ride” in a jouncy wagon, listening to diary excerpts. Must see for all ages!

It was an interactive experience of the pioneers going on the Oregon Trail in the 1800's. Loved it! Fun and informative.

Definitely worth a visit. Coffee bar and gift shop, amazing artwork and quilt exhibit. The official tour has Hollywood quality representations of a general store and a simulated experience of traveling in a wagon across the trail.

Very interesting exhibit and presentation of times gone by of our ancestors and their travels westward into the new frontier of America

Small museum/visitor's center. Very friendly, informative staff. Very impressive set of paintings of scenes from the Oregon Trail.
