This campground is absolutely wonderful!! My wife and I have loved it here. It’s very well kept, quiet, and the staff is amazing! The staff has checked in on us and has even invited us over for a St. Patrick’s day dinner. Everyone here is so nice! The pricing is very fair and very competitive with the surrounding area. Hookups are the best we’ve seen during the winter time as well. Also it’s an easy 10 minute commute to downtown Montrose and close to many activities which is really convenient! Please don’t let previous reviewers sway you from not visiting this campground I because promise it’s worth it! -this is coming from someone whose visited many campgrounds in this area and around the country!

We stayed 6 nights in one of their cabins and really enjoyed it. VERY clean, comfortable cabin and the park is well kept and has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Great Wifi connection in the park which was a plus!

Person on phone was extremely rude and short. Believe this to be manager, but cannot confirm. The person was yelling at (maybe kids) and little time to answer my questions. I was attempting to determine if they had openings and if my rig was acceptable for their facility. Will NOT be staying there.

My husband and I recently stayed here and had a great experience! Not only is the staff extremely nice and attentive but so helpful as well! We’ve stayed in a few rv parks in the area and in my opinion it’s the best in the area! Easy access to your site, great hookups, nice and quiet, and near so many adventures! I’m really impressed with San Juan Rv Resort. I personally would come here every time I’m in the area because of how amazing we’ve been treated. The staff has brought us fresh eggs, made sure our hookups were in great conditions during the winter weather, and we’ve been invited to campground dinners as well! I’m honestly not sure why the reviews reflect otherwise for this place but in my opinion from someone whose been to many rv parks this is by far the top of my books. Definitely come check it out!

A wonderful place to stay under the new ownership, I would definitely suggest staying here. Very friendly people and helpful in finding places to explore! A wonderful place to stay in close proximity to Montrose, Ridgway, Ouray, and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. A wonderful place to spend time with family and friends

It’s funny that this company claims the reason the family was evicted over the package was because the sheriffs department made the decision to evict, not the owners of the private property, which is completely false. The sheriffs department cannot evict someone from private property unless the property owner wants that to happen. The other funny thing is that they say that the family was using cuss words and that they escalated the situation, however if the manager would not tried to evict them for receiving the package OUTSIDE of their personal property in the first place then there would have not been anything to escalate. This company keeps trying to blame others for their mistakes, if this company really wanted to move past this they would apologize and take responsibility for initiating the eviction in the first place. The fact that they have the rule that says you cannot receive packages, and that they refused delivery, automatically eliminates them from any legal liability/standing of the tenant / landlord laws. So the fact that they are going above and beyond to enforce the rule outside of their own personal property shows that they’re just being petty. Additionally the more that this company goes out of their way to point the finger at the family that was evicted and the “friend” which should have no bearing on the family being evicted as he was a complete separate individual, and the fact that they even refer to the family’s children in a negative manner, just goes to show you how they’re acting like children themselves about this situation.

Management is horrible! Skip this location! Really disgusting how management handles situations. Lots of other places to camp that are friendlier!!

It’s shocking that the people running this place are working in the hospitality industry. And it’s surprising that they even have two stars. Four pages of rules and instant eviction over breaking any of them?
