In hearing about a trailer entrusted to this owner for repairs months ago that has since not been repaired, returned and no communication to resolve, I see on these reviews that this story is not the only one. This is outrageous and is void of integrity. It is also unbelievable that the law does not protect people in these situations; while there is perhaps some course of action, the system works against those who are wronged thus protecting the unscrupulous.

Great Service!!!!! I was towing a boat from Massachusetts to the Florida keys. I stopped for the night at a hotel in Mooresville and as the sun was setting on a Friday night I discovered a broken leaf spring on the tandem trailer. I found Performance Trailer through a google search and texted JP the picture of the broken spring and asked if he could help. He came out to the hotel parking lot to assess the job. By 1030 pm we had the trailer to his shop and by noon on Saturday I was back on the road with a new spring. I'm from out of town, broken down and desperate for help and my new friend JP fixes my trailer and charges me a fair price. I highly recommend Performance trailer.

JP is very honest and good guy. I wish there would be more business owners like him. He was able to fix my old axle instead of me buying a new one. I would definitely recommend him and most likely will come back in future.

JP Malone will not give me my property back. I have requested my property back unfinished and will pay for all work completed but, will not answer my calls or a demand letter from my attorney. Do not take your stuff to him. He will keep it for no reason. He has my taco trailer and my brand new 3600.00 generator. I am out of business because of him and will have to go to court to get my stuff back and sue for loss of revenue. For all i know he has sold it. Please save yourself time, money, and stress. Police are not helping.

October 2020 - JP came and met us when our trailer broke down. We took it to his shop and he has since disappeared. We called the Rowan County police and they indicated they’ve had several calls about him over the years. He has an issue of taking peoples trailers in and then disappearing. We have been without a trailer for over a month and he has stopped returning phone calls. I was shocked when I realized we were not the only company/people having problems with JP at Performance Trailer given his high ratings on google. Recently, while I was in his parking lot (hoping to get an answer) there was another person there also looking for him. Apparently he had taken their generator in and was supposed to install it on their trailer but again disappeared with the generator & trailer. For all the positive Google reviews, knowing what we now know, I WOULD STRONGLY DISCOURAGE TAKING YOUR TRAILER TO PERFORMANCE TRAILER.
