I haven't been to Spencer's Meat for many many years and only because I lived in Michigan. We have only purchased the pork sausage and it was the best I have ever had, hands down!! Living much closer now and planning on coming to come visit.

I feel like I received good value for the money. Clean and Courteous staff. I plan on using them again in the future.
Great meat! They have great prices! We always come and spend a lot of money and it's worth it!!
I've seen and heard the way they treat the animals up to their death and I never hear gun shots hardly but I hear them squealing a lot since I was a small child. I see vehicles parked at night with the lights on and the door open. I've seen myself, a rotten corps sitting outside the pin where the "healthy" pigs were for days before that where parasites etc. Could easily more from the sick rotten dead pig to the healthy ones and their food. Whatever that may be. They were packed in a small wooden pin. They looked pitiful. Ive heard testimony from seasonal employees about the treatment of the animals. I dont like to know somthing is being forced to it's death already terrified and confused, also enduring such uneccessarry pain up to it's final departure. Especially so we can sit around and laugh and talk with folks at the table and then, a lot of times waste their bodies. I dont think its what god intended by putting them hete for us, not glutton and greed driven. we should be more respectful and compassionate for the life god gave them too. I eat meat a lot, I love it but you couldn't pay me to abuse anything. We need meat but we dont need the process done like this. we especially don't need it at such a mass production this just isn't right.
Got home and read the lable!!!!!!they put B H A in the sausage!!!!!No thanks!!!!! I don't want to eat cancer causing chemicals!!!!! We will be throwing it out. What a waste.. We will never purchase again.
Curious if you are still open?
