I bought this house and it came with this Carolina Energies' tank, so I established service the first day after closing (one month ago). The accounts department and the service dept must not communicate with each other because when I came back from holiday leave, my tank was empty. I called to get a refill and they had no idea of who I was or any association with me and my address. I work 3rd shift and it is really cold. No furnace heat, no hot water, no stove. I'm having to heat water from the coffee maker to get basic hygiene done. They were supposed to arrive today and they didn't, althought their customer service team says the status shows \delivered.\ Unfortunately, all other companies with better reviews have a 4-month backlog, so I'm stuck with these guys till then. We don't matter to this company. One star because their customer service department seem to genuinely want to help, but the execution with their other departments is attrocious.

Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had. Can i give zero stars?? Tried to be proactive by getting them to fill my tank up in the summer. It took them TWO MONTHS from when I called to when they actually delivered and that’s because I called them biweekly until they filled it up. If I am asking and PAYING a ton of money for someone to provide me a service it would be nice if they would actually do it and take care of their customers. It’s literally common sense. My home uses the propane for heating our home and heating our water and I was QUESTIONED in a nasty tone by one of the women who works in the horrid building why I needed my tank filled up so badly. I do not recommend them. Never will. And now it has been three months since switching to another provider and you guessed it, they have yet to pick up the tank. Poor example of a business.

I have been dealing with companies, businesses & service providors for over 50 years. During that time I have never dealt with a more dishonest and crooked business as Carolina Energies. They are extremely deceptive with hurrying you through as you start a new service WITHOUT telling what their deceptive practices and hidden charges. I was with this extremely crooked company for a little over 3 years. Because of a rude delivery driver and terrible service I decided to switch. They are now charging me 160.00 to pick up THEIR tank. If you are searching for a propane dealer, I would strongly suggest you pass Carolina Energies by. I have switched to North State and have excellent service. They explain everything up front, show you in writing and are very courteus. If fact, their technician told me he had never seen such a terrible job of hooking up a tank than he saw with the hookup Carolina Energies hookup on my tank. Evidently they had two meters when they needed one. I'm sure this was so they could charge more money. That is how deceptive Carolina Energies. I had to give them 1 star to post. In reality they should be rated at -5 stars!

Poor customer service and communication! Will charge you money just ton have their services. Unless you consume a lot of propane I would not recommend their services. You will pay rental on their tanks even if no fuel is used. Recommend buying your own tank and maybe buying their propane. Be careful and watch the overall cost. Don't expect any help.

My 87 year old Mother called 3 months ago to order a new tank. Did not ever come other than to look at old tank. It is now 35 degrees and barely any oil in tank. Had to have her son call to get the tank delivered. It arrived today, but said that no oil would come till tomorrow due to driver attending a funeral. Understood that except that that would leave an 87 year old woman without heat. They did bring oil. Before they left they listened to furnace quickly. After they left very quickly the furnace cut off. When she called them they told this 87 year old to light the pilot. Well, this furnace has no pilot and the 87 year old was also told if they came back out it would be 150. Really!!! Last time for us. Burke Oil here we come. We are a 30 year customer.
