I just moved my 91-yr old mom into Morningside. Previously she was in an \independent living\ facility with some in-home health care. That didn't cut it as my mom's condition deteriorated. I shopped for a nearby assisted living place for her and Morningside fit the bill. They have several levels of care, doctors who visit, hair salon, special programs for memory-affected patients and more. But what's impressed me most is the friendliness of the staff and their degree of organization. Everyone from the guy bringing saucers into the dining room to the laundry lady have all been super nice, and stopped what they were doing to answer questions and be helpful. And most amazing to me, when the med tech on one shift asked me to bring in a prescription, when I arrived later the med tech on the next shift knew who I was and was expecting me! These folks really seem to take their patients' care seriously. Lastly the woman in charge of sales, Eizabeth Stuart, was extremely patient and helpful in completing the many forms and helping me navigate the various care options. She was also instrumental in organizing the actual move-in process. So give this place 5 stars.

Showed up on time for my scheduled tour, the sales person as they call them was not in the building so I had to tour with somebody else. The person giving me the tour seemed to have a lack of interest in providing me with a quality tourThe questions I asked were answered short and simple with usually a one word response in an angry tone of voice. How would you feel leaving your parents here for care and always wondering and worrying about them !!! The tour took us downstairs to a memory care unit that was dark and dingy looking and had a strong ODOR.The building in general looked outdated and lacked real appeal. This company needs to spend some money to do some serious updating or renovating. The room I was shown in memory care had a vinyl floor that was curling up around the edges probably from being so old and outdated. The closet door would not operate properly and the toilet was leaking, now the paint color left a lot to be desired, not even an overhead ceiling light. For the prices I was given for each style of room it was certainly not worth that much at the high end over 6000 a month!!! I am sorry to say this but do not waste your time here, look elsewhere and I guarantee you will find a place where you will get more bang for your buck. NOT WORTH THE MONEY -DARK -DINGY-OUTDATED AND SMELLS!! I am updating my review, the room I was shown in the memory care unit had no water damage in it!! But the smell was a sewer odor not a musty damp smell from water. Why would your staff show me a room that was not ready, this gives me no idea of how it could look and a bad impression.Say all you want but its like putting lipstick on a pig to cover the ugly up.Still Not Worth The
