I stayed here last weekend and it was such a fun time! Rosemarie is such a nice, welcoming host that will make you feel comfortable. As I was trying to find campgrounds, I found this place and read all of the reviews to try to understand what I was getting myself into and it helped a lot, so here’s my review for anyone that needs information and/or reassurance lol. Expectations/Realities/Notes: - thought the actual camp sites were further apart from each other, but it was not crowded so it was okay. - thought the campsite was more in Joshua tree, but it is right when you come into Morongo Valley - the ground was very hard and there is no grass, so just be prepared for that. - I thought some campsites had their own individual camp fires, but there are only two communal camp fires. - there were so many birds to watch! - it’s about .5 miles off of the main road so you can hear the cars a bit, but nothing bad. - I also thought the campsites we’re going to be a little more private. There are different campsites with varying degrees of privacy, but nothing is COMPLETELY hidden. - the kitchen is very small, but perfect for the occasion and has a really efficient stove. Overall, I had a really fun time staying at the Desert Rose Collective and am definitely going to visit many more times. Perhaps even this weekend!

Found this jewel of a place. First time here and have enjoyed ourselves. Nice tents to stay in that are on site and also an area if you have your own tent.

Such a great time here. So welcoming and beautiful. Wish we could've stuck around a little while longer. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a great place to camp just outside of town during your Joshua Tree adventures. You won't regret it.

Great place for star gazing. This place has lesser light pollution than keys view in Joshua Tree. Very friendly hosts.
